Katie Beth and Tyler were married this past weekend at Lairdland Farmhouse (pics coming soon) so I wanted to share some images from their fabulous engagement session, as well as a few from Katie’s gorgeous bridal session. Katie wanted a vintage-inspired engagement session. She brought along several props, and I LOVE the results!

Katie Beth, Bridal

There’s just something about The University of the South. As soon as your foot hits the campus, you know you are in a special place. It has the grandeur of an Ivy League school, with the hospitality that can only be found in the South. I was so excited to photograph Lauren & Josh’s wedding, on this beautiful day in April. Lauren and Josh are such a sweet couple, and there’s no denying they are totally in love. They both have fantastic families, and they couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day.

Here are a few of my favorites from Lauren’s bridal session, also done at Sewanee. Lauren, you’re gorgeous!!!

A few weeks ago, I logged on to the website (something I apparently don’t do enough of) to find that I had wedding images from 5 years ago still on there. I had a talk with myself-I admit; editing the website is about as much fun to me as eating leftovers (I HATE leftovers) but I knew it was necessary to freshen things up a bit. I hope you like the new look, and all the new images. I still have lots more to add, but I’ve sat in this chair as long as I can today, and it’s time for me to get out of my pajamas (it’s 1:30 in the afternoon). All posts below this one will still have the retired logo and color scheme, but I’m sure you can overlook that;). ENJOY!
More engagement sessions!! Can’t wait to photograph all these weddings in a few short weeks.
Mandy & Cory
I love these two!!! We had so much fun on this beautiful (but windy) day. Cory played baseball for TTU, so they thought it would be fun to do some photos on the baseball field. I love the results!

We didn’t want to do all the photos at the field, so we ventured around town looking for interesting textures. Aside from the overwhelming smell of garbage, I thought this was a cool spot. Thank goodness Mandy & Cory were able to take awesome photos without holding their noses.

Lindsey & Jon
I’m meeting Lindsey (and her beautiful curly locks) on Wednesday for her bridal session, and I realized I never blogged their engagement session. We met last Fall, when the leaves were changing, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect day. We strolled the streets of downtown Nashville, and found some great spots to stop for photos. I know Lindsey and Jon are perfect for one another, and I am so excited to be photographing their wedding in June!

Kaci & Nick
Another June wedding! I love the rustic vibe in these photos, which were taken at Kaci’s family home. I have known Kaci’s mom forever, and I am honored to be photographing their wedding this year.

Coming soon: WEDDINGS, WEDDINGS, WEDDINGS!!!
We’ve all been there. Skip a day of two of laundry, and the next thing you know, there are clothes pouring out of the laundry room. Envision, if you will, an overflowing laundry room of blog posts. I know, I know-if I just did it every day, it wouldn’t seem so overwhelming. No one’s perfect. So here it is-a few loads of blog laundry for your enjoyment.
Sarah & Russ
So excited to be photographing Sarah & Russ’s Big Day in a few weeks. On top of the fact that they are both too cute for words, they are super funny. I know their wedding day is going to be a blast!

Baby Ezra (plus Lucy & Mom)
Seriously, could this kid get any cuter?

Ezra and big sis Lucy:)

If only she had a bit more personality..

Hot mama!!

Nickie & Chris
Is this couple smokin’ hot or what? I met Nickie & Chris when I photographed their friends’ wedding last year. I’m so excited to see the crowd again!

I had an amazing afternoon yesterday at the Nashville bridal show. I met so many great couples planning their 2010 and 2011 weddings. I love this job! Thanks to everyone for coming out and making it such a great day.
And now, for a little picture pleasure:) Crystal and Greg were married in October, and also chose to do a day-after session when they returned from their honeymoon, to get even more great shots in their wedding attire. We met at a beautiful mountain location, and I just LOVE the results!

I am totally beside myself-ya’ll voted me right into the top 4! I just want to thank you all from the bottom of my happy heart, for taking the time to support my photo. The winner should be announced today, and I just might wet my pants if I don’t find out soon! This was the FIRST photo contest I have ever entered, and I now know why-I don’t do well with suspense. Huge congrats to the other 3 lovely ladies in this with me-you are all incredibly talented.
Since there were soooo many of you who wanted to get your hands on your own gorgeous Matilda Jane Clothing, I got together with “the most fabulous trunk-keeper in all the land” Emily, and I am hosting an Online Trunk Show starting…..right…..about…….NOW!!!! To place your order, simply go to the website, make sure your size is available, email me what you want along with your phone number, and I will take it from there. Orders must be placed by Tuesday, December 15th, so get those orders rolling in!
Biggest thanks of all goes out to the girls at MJC for giving us this opportunity to get creative! YOU ROCK!
My most favorite clothing line for my sweet little girls is Matilda Jane. It just doesn’t get any cuter than this. So when I saw they were having a photo contest, of course, I jumped at the opportunity. I was floored to find I was among a handful of fabulously talented photographers to participate in the PhOtO LoVe contest! Here’s the scoop on the contest: each of the photogs was sent the same dress, and it was up to us to put our own spin on it. What’s the prize, you ask?!? Why, it’s a trip to the Spring Fashion Show AND, drumroll please…..the Spring collection!!!! For those of you who know me, you know I totally obsess over things like this-planning, finding the perfect concept, location, props, etc., so after weeks of brainstorming, I had my Big Idea (any Pinky Dinky Doo fans?) The big kicker was, I could only submit-gasp-ONE photo! After careful deliberation, here’s the one I decided to go with:

I hope I made the right choice! If you think so, please show me some PhOtO LoVe by visiting http://matildajane.typepad.com/ and voting for my pic. As of this post, the images have yet to be posted, but earlier today, it was announced they would be online tonight!
LOVE these two!! They were married on what was, quite arguably, THE hottest Saturday in June, at Cheekwood, but what a beautiful ceremony it was. The love and support Christian and Elizabeth have from their friends and family was so inspiring, and I know they will have a beautiful life together. Thanks again for sharing your day with me.

Christian, waiting to see his lovely bride…
The beautiful Elizabeth.

A few of the amazing details: Flowers by Mitchell White.

A few more amazing details: gorgeous cake by Sweet Sallies, home roasted coffee favors, compliments of the bride’s father.

Quick note about the cutie in the top right-I photographed her Mommy & Daddy’s wedding about three years ago:)

Really?!? Has it been over a MONTH since I have posted anything? Time does fly, and it seems it has been going at warp speed this Fall. Tomorrow, I will finish up the 2009 wedding season with Sarah and Shane’s wedding. It has been a glorious year, and I feel so blessed to have worked with all the great couples and families I have met. 2010 is already gearing up to be a great one, and I am looking forward to what’s in store.
I have so much to blog, so I decided to just start at the top of the list and work my way down:) Hope you enjoy!
Michelle, A Beautiful Bride.
Can’t say enough nice things about this girl. Gorgeous, sweet, funny-I had a blast working with her and Cody. They were married in October (pics to come soon!)

Lauren & Josh, e-session.
I am so excited about working with Lauren & Josh. They are such a fun couple, and they are planning a fabulous April wedding at the gorgeous University of the South campus in Sewanee. Here are a few of their engagement photos, taken in downtown Nashvegas!
